Patti Naylor in support of Cipperley Price for county supervisor

To the editor,

On November 3, 2020, we will have the opportunity to cast our vote with a strong local impact. Three county supervisor seats are up for election with three highly qualified challengers to the incumbents. For the District 1 seat, I am supporting Linn Cipperley-Price.

As supervisor, Linn will prioritize transparency in the thought processes of the decisions she makes. Communication with county residents will be another priority. Linn has her own opinions, yet is open and honest, listening to other’s viewpoints and concerns without judgement. Before decisions are made, whether the impact will be felt by a few or by many, I am confident that she will analyze the choices, look at alternatives, and make the decision that makes the most sense.

Furthermore, Linn’s work ethic is superb and she will be committed to doing the very best job she can for the residents of Greene County. She cares deeply about the welfare of people and of animals. As the mother of three school-aged children, she has a perspective of working toward a future where this county’s towns and rural areas will be places that young people will want to live in, with clean air and water, opportunities for livelihoods and recreation, and a welcoming atmosphere.

I have only known Linn for about five years, but I have come to truly value her friendship. Her enthusiasm for her garden, animals, children, and community as well as her quirky humor means I answer the phone whenever she calls. I encourage Greene County residents to get to know Linn.

The events of recent months have shown us that leadership at every level of our government is important every day and in ways that are unpredictable and unprecedented. This is not the time to simply stay with the status quo at the local level. Linn’s experiences in the US Army Veterinary Corps and as co-founder of Animal Protection and Education as well as so many other life experiences have helped to prepare her for this important role in local government.

Remember, everyone in the county votes for every supervisor, not just the candidate for the district in which they live. This allows for equal representation around the county and accountability to all of us. Vote Linn Cipperley-Price for Greene County supervisor.
